SAN FRANCISCO—A 30 year-old father was attacked by eight juveniles at Sululagi M. Paliga Jr. Recreation Center in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Thursday, May 4, authorities indicated.
The San Francisco Police Department reported the attack as an aggravated assault that occurred near the intersection of Felton and Holyoke Streets at around 7:15 p.m. The victim, who has only been identified as Hispanic male, was with his son when he noticed approximately 20 juveniles engaging in a water fight.
He approached the group of minors and asked them to stop, warning them that his son was playing nearby. Eight members of the group allegedly began punching and kicking the man continuously, knocking him to the ground.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he sustained non-fatal injuries. Police have arrested one of the eight suspects, but are still seeking information pertaining to the others culprits involved in the attack. Anyone with information on the attack is asked to contact the SFPD.
