SAN FRANCISCO—A 55-year-old man suffered life-threatening-injuries Tuesday, March 7, when he was hit by a bicyclist after stepping off of a Muni platform in San Francisco’s Bayview District, officials reported.

The collision occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Third Street and Palou Avenue right outside the Third Street/Oakdale/Palou Light Rail Station, authorities indicated.

The victim, who had just walked off the Muni platform nearby, was running across the street when a 36-year-old man crashed into him with his bike,

The victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening-injuries. The biker sustained only minor injuries. The bicyclist’s and the victim’s identities have not been released. No arrests were made by police.
