SAN FRANCISCO—A 61-year-old man was critically injured when he was hit by a car that had just spun out after a crash in San Francisco’s Mission District on Thursday, March 23.

Authorities were alerted of the crash at 2:29 p.m., in the area of 18th Street and South Van Ness Avenue. According to reports, a 21-year-old man drove into the intersection when he struck another vehicle, resulting in the hit car spinning out of control and colliding with the victim. The driver fled the crash scene, but was apprehended nearby and arrested. 

The name of the victim and the suspect has not yet been disclosed to the public. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries he sustained.
