SAN FRANCISCO—A 76-year-old woman was taken to a San Francisco hospital with life-threatening injuries following a hit-and-run on Wednesday, March 29, in the city’s North Beach neighborhood, officials from the San Francisco Police Department indicated.

Police responded to the intersection of Filbert Street and Columbus Avenue at 3:08 p.m., said Officer Giselle Talkoff indicated to the SF Chronicle. The victim, whose name has not been disclosed to the public was walking east on Filbert Street when the car struck her, knocking her unconscious.

No specifics about the vehicle involved have been disclosed from the public. Authorities reported the car was seen traveling northbound on Columbus Avenue, Officer Talkoff indicated.
