SAN FRANCISCO─Archbishop Riordan, an all-boys high school in the region will start accepting female students this upcoming fall.

The Catholic high school has been an all-boys school for the past 70 years. School officials decided on Thursday, January 30 to make the school co-ed. According to reports, parents of the school are not happy with the sudden decision.

According to ABC7 San Francisco, parents received a survey from the school. Some parents are considering transferring their sons to other schools following the change.

According to the Archbishop Riordan website, they will be hosting an open house for female applicants on Thursday, February 6.
