SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection to the death of Bruce Sawyer, 55, of San Francisco. On November 9, at approximately 3:49 a.m. officers from the SFPD responded to the 2000 block of Polk Street in the Northern District about a stabbing that had occurred. Upon arrival, officers found Sawyer lying on the ground suffering from multiple stab wounds.

According to a press release from the SPFD, San Francisco Fire Department paramedics arrived on the scene and provided aid, but the victim died from injuries he sustained at San Francisco General Hospital. SFPD Homicide Investigators began their investigation that led to the arrest of suspect Marcus Price, 28, of San Francisco on November 9 at 12:00 p.m.

Price was apprehended by officers from the Northern Station on the 1500 block of Vallejo Street. He was booked at the San Francisco County Jail on charges of murder, assault with a deadly weapon, mayhem and resisting arrest.
