SAN FRANCISCO—Officials from the San Francisco Fire Department are investigating an arson-related incident that transpired on Thursday, November 2 in San Francisco’s Northern District.

Just after 7:00 p.m., a male suspect entered a business located on the 200 block of Polk Street. He set paper towels on a toilet seat on fire in one of the restrooms. A witness put the fire out and tried to detain the suspect, who later fled the scene.

Authorities have described the suspect as a Caucasian male in his 40s. He was not armed with any weapons, and was not seen in a vehicle. No arrests have been made, no injuries, damages, or motives have been revealed by the San Francisco Police Department.
