BEVERLY HILLS—My name is "Dora", and I was adopted from the Friends of Animals Foundation eight years ago.  I guess you're wondering why I'm looking for a new home - right?  Well, after all these years of being part of a family, I was given up because a baby is expected.  I'm pretty sad and upset, but at least I'm back among friends, and hope that someone will want to adopt me, even though I'm now nine years old. Isn't there a saying that goes, "older is better"?

 I'm a Lab mix, and I am very well housetrained.  I have never made any mistakes, how about that?  I would really like a quiet home with no other dogs and no small children.  You can be sure that after I adjust to my new home, I will become very attached to my new family, and hope that they will be my family, forever, this time.
   Is there someone that is willing to give me a second chance?  How about calling to see me and taking me for a walk - I would love that, and that would be a start!
   You say that I'm too big for your lifestyle?  Well, all that you have to do is check the website: foafla.petfinder.com, and there you will see all sizes of my four-footed friends, and that includes kitty cats, too!

   Our guest celebrity speaker is Jeff Maxwell.  You may remember him for his role in M*A*S*H as Private Igor, the camp cook.  He is a big animal advocate, and will have many interesting stories to tell us.
   There will be a delicious luncheon, followed by an auction and a raffle, both including many exciting and interesting items.  Sorry, no credit cards, so be sure to bring cash or checks!
