Warriors lose 114-108

OAKLAND -With the addition of Chris Webber to their team, many believed the Golden State Warriors would become an unstoppable force, but this wasn’t the case in Thursday’s game against the Chicago Bulls on February 7.   Webber only scored 4 pts in the game and played for a total of about 12 and a half minutes in the teams lost to the Bulls 114-108.   In the first quarter the Bulls lead the Warriors 32-23.   The Bulls managed to maintain that momentum throughout the game until the 3rd quarter where the Warriors managed to cut a 13 pt lead and get back into the game, but the Bulls fought back.

In the fourth quarter Chicago was able to score on 9 of their 10 possessions.   The Warriors had the opportunity to take control of the game in the 4th quarter when the score was 101-100, with only two minutes left in the game.   The Warriors ran out of steam, allowing the Bulls to clinch the game.   Monta Ellis led the Warriors in scoring with 25 pts and shooting a near perfect 11 for 12.   Baron Davis scored 22 pts and had 8 assists in the game.   Leading the Bulls to victory was Chris Duhan who had 34 pts and 9 assists in the game.   This marked the Bulls first victory in Oakland since the team’s Michael Jordan Era.
