Golden State Warriors Pound the Philadelphia 76ers

OAKLAND—The Golden State Warriors were able to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.  The Warriors won 119-97. The Warriors were able to maintain the lead throughout the entire game.

At halftime, the Warriors led the 76ers 67-52. The Warriors just had too much energy for the 76ers to handle. Leading the Warriors to victory was Michael Pietrus, who scored 23 points and had two assists in the game. Monta Ellis and Stephen Jackson both scored 21 pts in Friday’s game. However, Baron Davis didn’t have a stellar night. He scored 4 four points in the game, but had 10 assists.

Leading the 76ers in scoring was Andre Miller, who scored 18 points and had two assists. Rodney Carney also scored 18 pts in Friday’s game. The Warriors now have a record of 35-22. The Warriors will face the Portland Trailblazers on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at home.
