The Golden State Warriors were able to continue their winning streak against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Oracle Arena. The Warriors defeated the Raptors 117-106. The Warriors have won seven of their last eight games. Leading the Warriors in scoring was the magnificent Monta Ellis, who scored 33 pts in Wednesday’s game. Superstar Baron Davis scored 23 pts and had 15 assists in the game.

The Raptors were at a disadvantage in Wednesday’s game because their star player, Chris Both, didn’t play because of a right knee injury. Leading the Raptors in scoring was T.J. Ford, who had 23 points and Anthony Parker, who scored 22 points in the game. In the first quarter, the Warriors led the Raptors by a huge margin of 35 to 17. By halftime, the Raptors were able to cut the Warriors lead to only 10 points; they trailed the Warriors 48-58.
Parker kept Davis and Ellis on their toes throughout the game. The Raptors were able to make a comeback in the fourth quarter where they tied up the game on a 15-5 run. But superstar Baron Davis stepped up to the plate and scored the team’s final seven points in the game to secure the win. With the playoffs right around the corner, the Golden State Warriors are in a comfortable position. The Raptors have also managed to secure themselves the fifth place spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race. The Warriors managed to capture their 40th win of the season in Wednesday’s game.
