San Francisco State Players Make Top Honors

SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco State’s Bill Treseler was named Coach of the Year and guard Robert Hayes was named Freshman of the Year by the California Collegiate Athletic Association men’s basketball coaches. Hayes and junior guard Alex Thomas were named to the men’s second team. Gators junior forward Krystle Mays was named to the women’s first team, while senior forward Brio Rode landed on the second team. The sixth-seeded Gators men (17-11) play in the CCAA tournament semifinals Friday against fifth-seeded Cal State Dominguez Hills (17-10) at Cal State San Bernardino. The championship is Saturday, March 8.
