HOLLYWOOD—Hollywood’s most unlikely superhero is director and actor Seth Rogen, who will be playing "The Green Hornet" in the upcoming new superhero movie. The movie is set to be released on June 25, 2010.
Rogen will be playing Britt Reid, a playboy who has too much time and money on his hands. Reid inherits his father’s newspaper and starts fighting crime at night with his fellow sidekick Kato.
Seth Rogen isn’t just the leading man; he is also writing and producing the film with friend and co-writer Evan Goldberg, who worked on "Superbad" with him.
The movie's set release date puts it in a running against Marvel’s "Thor" which is set to hit screens on June 4, 2010.
Rogen revealed back in November of 2007 that he hadn’t decided whether the movie would be more of a comedic version or not, but Rogen did confirm that it would be more like a regular action movie.
