SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO—A teenager was the victim of a brutal slashing with a box cutter on October 4.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 8:24 p.m., involved two suspects at the 400 block of Linden Avenue in South San Francisco.

Police were dispatched to the area when they found a 17-year-old boy who had suffered from lacerations to the face and neck, according to the South San Francisco Police Department. The police stated in a recent press release that the victim was confronted by two Hispanic male juveniles.

The description given by the report states: “The victim was confronted by two male juveniles, one of whom was holding the box cutter.” The two suspects allegedly made gang-related comments and there was an altercation between the suspect with the box cutter and the victim. The victim was able to wrestle the weapon away from the teen and the two suspects fled the area.

He was later transported to San Francisco General Hospital and released not long after.

The suspects were described as being between 16-18 years of age, 5’8-5’10, slender builds and wearing black “hoodies” and pants.

Any witnesses with information pertaining to the incident are urged to call the SSF police at (650) 877-8900.
