SAN FRANCISCO—On Monday, November 10, at least one girl was injured when a crowd of about 3,000, mostly young female teenagers, showed up at Stonestown Galleria to see Robert Pattinson, the newest teen heartthrob and star of the upcoming movie, “Twilight,” who was holding an autograph session at the Hot Topic store, according to published reports. The event had to be canceled due to the disorganized nature of the event and the unexpectedly high turnout. (Only 300 were expected.)
“It was crazy. Girls were screaming, running everywhere,” said one teenager in an interview with CBS.
Pattinson played Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter movies.
In his upcoming film, he plays a vampire from a family that has vowed never to drink human blood, and who falls in love with a beautiful girl whose primal pull tempts him to violate his oath.
