This week in Hollywoodland we shared another milestone. Warren Beatty, the star of many of the greatest films of the 60s and 70s turned 72 on Monday. It must be a sign when you are old enough to remember seeing “Bonnie and Clyde,” “Splendor in the Grass” and “Dick Tracy,” all three films which starred the handsome actor. Beatty, born in Virginia in 1937, is married to actress Annette Benning and has four children. Benning and Beatty can be seen anytime with their beautiful kids shopping along Third Street in Los Angeles, where they have a favorite pizza place as well. Beatty may have been a Hollywood playboy early in his career, but is now the most devoted husband and doting dad in town.

Thank you to Mr. Kirk Douglas who reached out to me this week to thank me for mentioning his great one-man show, “Before I Forget.” Mr. Douglas proved why he’s Hollywood royalty and anytime you want to say anything, feel free to contact us. You are more than welcome for the mention and the positive review of your fine work. Many of us believe you are one of the greatest actors ever on the big screen. Best to you and Mrs. Douglas and the family.

Josh Hartnett was staying at the famed Chateau Marmont Hotel on Sunset Boulevard when he began having abdominal pains and was taken to nearby Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was treated for gastrointestinal disorder. Reps for the actor said he’s doing fine and resting.

Francis Ford Coppola will be honored this month at the San Francisco Film Festival for his lifetime achievements in film. His most famous films include “The Godfather” saga. He joins previous winners Clint Eastwood and Robert Altman who each received the founder’s directing award.

Nicolas Cage’s film, “Knowing,” which was filmed in Melbourne, took the Box Office number one spot last week. The actor, who is married and has a son, has been taking his family with him while doing press junkets for the picture since he doesn’t want to be away from them while working.

Halle Berry wishes she was young enough to have more kids. The mother of Nahla says that she and boyfriend model Gabriel Aubry would love to have a bigger family. But the actress, who is now 42-years-old fears time is not on her side for such a dream. Who knows? She won an Oscar, maybe she’s finally found happiness. Lightning just may strike the third time.

In Alyssa Milano’s new book "Safe at Home," she goes into her love life in depth and the multiple athletes that she’s previously been romantically involved with. She raves about her on screen dad Tony Danza from the ABC series “Who’s The Boss.” But what is most surprising is she credits getting out of trouble and ceasing her Hollywood party ways by gaining a love of baseball and advises stars like Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton to start watching sports and staying close to home.

Milano isn’t the only actress with a book. Tori Spelling recently released her second book, which is also a best-seller. But the biggest surprise is her mom, socialite Candy Spelling, has plans to pen a tome of her own and explain how she feels about the estranged relationship with her daughter. Candy has put her 56,000 square foot mansion in Beverly Hills up for sale for $150 million. The home that she raised kids Tori and Randy in with her husband mega producer Aaron Spelling is the splashiest in Hollywood. Ms. Spelling has purchased a 17,000 square foot condo in the city, but says it has a playroom in case she and her grandchildren are ever reunited. Candy says she has set up trust funds for her two grandchildren and hasn’t even been able to meet the youngest one yet. Here’s hoping the completion of her book, "Stories from Candyland," will be as therapeutic as Tori’s books have been for her.

Madonna is at it again. The star has arrived in Malawi, Africa, to adopt yet another child. This time around is no different. Adoption specialists and advocates fear that Madonna’s ability to circumvent the system and obtain preferential treatment will only encourage the illegal adoptions the African nation of Malawi is well known for.

Michael J. Fox surprised the world when he appeared last week on “Oprah” to show that he has not given up fighting the disease of Parkinson’s and vows not to let it define him. In speaking about his symptoms, Fox said, “It’s like having a four-year-old child climbing all over you all the time.” Fox has been an advocate for stem cell research and continues to lobby politicians for further research, which he and many believe can help find a cure for Parkinson’s.
