SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department have arrested Marvin Sotorizo, 36, of San Francisco in connection to a sexual assault that transpired on June 27. According to the SFPD, the incident transpired at 1 p.m., after an adult male entered the Bayview Station and reported that he was the victim of a sexual assault.

Investigators from the San Francisco Police Department’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) responded and immediately commenced an investigation. While investigating the crime, officials learned that a second victim was also sexually assaulted by the suspect who was known by both victims.

SVU investigators located Sotorizo at 25th Street and Potrero Avenue after 9 p.m. on June 27 and took him into custody without incident. He was booked into San Francisco County Jail on five counts of sexual assault charges. Police suspect that Sotorizo works as a volunteer in charge of a youth program at a church in the Mission District.
