HOLLYWOOD—What can be said about the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, that was held on February 8, at the Los Angeles Staples Center, that hasn’t been said already. The show had a little bit of everything from politics, to religion to all-star-collaborations that ruled the night in a typical Grammy fashion.

A touching, powerful performance by Beyonce brought goosebumps to everyone. Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga was nostalgic. The fashion began on the red carpet, where voluminous gowns reigned supreme. Taylor Swift in a teal Elie Saab gown, with teal earrings with a pop of fuchsia Giuseppe Zanotti heels. Madonna, the pop legend wore a lacy, low-cut toreador, accessorized with thigh-high boots. Katherine McPhee showed off her curves in a rosy Emilio Pucci gown.

Always the camera-shy Sia, wore a Cousin-It-like white wig that blocked her eyes. Fashionably late, Rihanna, stepped out of the limo, paused and struggled to pull up her floaty, pink Giambattista Valli cupcake gown.

Sam Smith dominated the awards show by winning four Grammys, and thanked the man that broke his heart. Stop me if you’ve read this before, Kanye West, who famously interrupted Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech when she beat Beyonce at the MTV Video Music Awards, almost walked onstage when Prince announced Beck’s name. The audience seemed shocked, since the Yeezus artist believes that his heart was in the right place when he did that-though he later admitted he himself probably shouldn’t have been on that stage.

Everyone makes mistakes and no one should be happy about the destruction of Brian Williams career. The embattled NBC news anchor who exaggerated and fabricated his role in a helicopter incident in Iraq back in 2003,  was suspended on February 10, for six months without pay, according to a statement by the network.

Williams, 55, was not only the No. 1 evening news show, but also well-liked and appeared frequently as a celebrity guest on “Saturday Night Live,” “30 Rock” and the late-night talk show circuit. He signed a contract for $10 million a year and had been drawing 9.3 million viewers a night. One of the most trusted names in America and commanded the respect accorded predecessors like Walter Cronkite, Tom Brokaw and my buddy Peter Jennings.

His embellishment of his helicopter journey was only the beginning, then his report on Katrina seemed to have flaws. This scandal is another blow for the NBC news division under its new chief, Ms. Turness, and Pat Fili-Krushel, chairwoman of NBC Universal News Group. Back in 2011, Comcast acquired NBC Universal. Travis. J. Tritten, the Stars and Stripes reporter who broke the story about Mr. Williams exaggeration, said he did not get any satisfaction from seeing Mr. Williams suspended. “Like the vets I spoke with,” he wrote in a Twitter post, “I just wanted to set the record straight,” he added.

Comedian Jon Stewart will leave his role as host of the Daily Show, later this year, Comedy Central confirmed. On February 10, he broke the news to his audience during the taping in New York. The 52-year-old has worked for Comedy Central, since 1999, when he began hosting and throughout the years his lampooning of public figures has earned him a loyal following. The show has been cited as the top news source for the younger generation. At this point, no indication regarding Stewart’s plans have been announced what he intends to do after leaving the show. Jon’s departure comes after Stephen Colbert left the Colbert Report fake news show back in December to take over David Letterman’s late night show on CBS.

Rose’s Scoop: Joan Rivers ‘ luxury penthouse apartment on East 62nd Street off Fifth Avenue is up for grabs if you have $28 million to fork up. The 11-room property that Ms. Rivers owned for the past 25 years has been on and off the market since 2009.

Her daughter Melissa Rivers heir to the estate valued at an estimated $150 million is suing Yorkville Endoscopy for “medical mismanagement and incompetency.” Melissa also accepted the Grammy on behalf of her mother Joan Rivers who won the audio version of her 2014 memoir, “Diary of a Mad Diva.” Lastly, don’t forget to go to the movies to watch “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

Wishing everyone a very Happy Valentine’s Day weekend!
