SAN FRANCISCO—Authorities from the San Francisco Police Department have arrested a suspect wanted for a bank robbery that occurred on February 17 at around 3:30 p.m. on the 2500 block of Mission Street. The suspect walked into the bank and handed a note to the teller requesting money. After receiving the funds he took off on foot.

Fernando Sylvestry, 53, of San Francisco was apprehended on February 18 after being recognized by officers from the Mission District when he was walking down the 2200 block of Mission Street at around 2:00 p.m. He did not resist arrest and was booked into County Jail on burglary, robbery and narcotics violations.
