SAN FRANCISCO—A 48-year-old man was left in critical condition on Wednesday, April 19, after an early morning shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood.

The SF Gate reported offficers responded to the shooting around 1 a.m. to a call regarding gunshots fired near the intersection of Industrial Street and Bayshore Boulevard.

Investigators believe the shooter, who was in a car at the time of the shooting, fired at the victim’s car and fled the scene. The victim sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim’s car crashed into a fence along Bayshore Boulevard, the SF Gate reported.

The shooting took place in a relatively low populated area near a tire store, several parking lots and a Highway 101 overpass. The incident closed the intersection of Bayshore and Industrial and affected highway off-ramps in the area. No arrests have been made in the shooting.
