Bayview Site of Two Shootings

BAYVIEW—Two people were killed and one injured in a pair of shootings in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood.

At approximately 4:15 p.m Tuesday afternoon, San Francisco police officers responded to an activation of the city’s gunfire detection system, ShotSpotter, finding a woman suffering from several bullet wounds on the 1300 block of Revere Avenue.

Two more homicides were reported in a Bayview Tuesday evening.

The woman was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital where she died from her gunshot wounds.

Ten minutes after the first shooting, SFPD officers responded to another shooting, this time on the 200 block of Bayshore Boulevard. The shooting victims, a man and a woman, were taken to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment.

The male victim died from his injuries. The woman is in the hospital recovering from non-lethal wounds.

At this point, the names of the victims are being kept in confidence. It is not known whether or not the two shootings are related. For now, they are being investigated separately, however, law enforcement is not ruling out the possibility of a connection.

Tuesday’s killings were the eighth and ninth homicide cases in San Francisco this month.
