HOLLYWOOD—The contenders for the highest accolade in the music arena have been unveiled. That’s right the nominees for the 2017 Grammy Awards were announced Tuesday, December 6, with Grammy winner Meghan Trainor announcing the contenders in some of the big races including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist.

Leading the pack of all nominees is triple threat Beyonce who earned 9 nominations including Album of the Year for “Lemonade.” Followed close behind here were nominees Drake, Kanye West, Adele and Rihanna each earned 8 nominations apiece. For the coveted race of Album of the Year, the contenders include Adele for “25,” Beyonce for “Lemonade,” Justin Bieber for “Purpose,” Drake for “Views” and Sturgill Simpson for “A Sailor’s Guide to Earth.”
