SAN FRANCISCO—Officers with the San Francisco Police Department have arrested two suspects in connection to burglaries in the region. The SFPD reported that at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers from the Southern Station responded to a report of a home burglary that occurred on the 1500 block of Folsom Street on September 27. After arriving on the scene, the homeowner informed authorities that the suspect fled from the front door of the apartment and escaped the building by using the fire escape.

The homeowner provided police with a description of the suspect, where officers from Park Station who were in the region, stopped and detained a male walking on Folsom Street matching the description given by the homeowner. His identity was confirmed by the victim to authorities.

The suspect, Armando Courtney, 28, of San Francisco was arrested and booked at San Francisco County Jail for first and second degree burglary, felon in possession of a stun gun and multiple warrants in and out of San Francisco County.

On September 29, at approximately 12:57 a.m., officers from the Southern Station responded to the 1200 block of Bryant Street about an auto burglary. A passerby provided a description of the suspect. Officers spotted an individual matching the description seated in the back seat of a vehicle less than a block from where the burglary occurred. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and a witness later positively identified the passenger as the suspect who burglarized the car.

Police arrested Jhontay Wills, 28, of Oakland, who was booked at San Francisco County Jail for second degree burglary. The SFPD are still investigating both cases. Anyone with details is asked to call the SFPD at (415) 575-4444 or Text-a-Tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with SFPD.
