SAN FRANCISCO—A mother and her baby narrowly missed being seriously injured after a car involved in a collision clipped them as they were entering a crosswalk on Friday, April 26. The incident transpired during the morning, where officers responded to a report of a collision involving two cars and two pedestrians near Clarendon Avenue and Johnstone Drive in San Francisco’s Clarendon Heights neighborhood.

Officers learned that the two vehicles were involved in a collision, and that one of the vehicles then later made contact with the woman while she was walking and pushing a stroller that contained her baby. The mother and baby were taken to the hospital, but did not sustain any life-threatening injuries from the collision.

Both drivers involved in the collision stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities as they conducted their investigation.
