HOLLYWOOD—Leave it to Kanye West to come up with the lyrics on the track “On Sight,” to cause controversy. His reference to involuntary shaking, which is among the main symptoms of the neurological condition, drew strong criticism from many, including Steve Ford, chief executive at Parkinson’s in the UK, according to published reports. In the U.S, over 1.5 million people live with the disease. West has been criticized by the American Parkinson Disease Association. His album “Yeezus,” was released on June 18, days after he became a father to a baby girl with Kim Kardashian.
The Kimye’s have reportedly named the baby girl. Kaidence Donda West, and if rumor has it the name would have significant meaning to both parents. The baby arrived five weeks early, which is normal for the first pregnancy. Kanye’s late mother, Donda, whom he was very close to, wrote a song for her, “Hey Mama,” and he took her death extremely hard. For Kim, she would be following the Kardashian tradition of picking a name that starts with “K.” The name as of press time has not been confirmed by the parents. The name was apparently revealed by a nurse at Los Angeles Cedars Sinai Hospital.
The star of reality TV series “Keeping up With the Kardashians,” which also follows the lives of her sisters Kourtney and Khloe had revealed the gender secret earlier this month during one of the Kardashian’s doctor appointments on the show. Best friends, Brittany Gastineau and Jonathan Cheban, have already visited the hospital to see the baby and first time parents. Jonathan was seen visiting the hospital with a bouquet of white and pink roses. Canyon News had the opportunity to interview Jonathan a few weeks ago.
CN: “Hi Jonathan, how are you doing?
JC: “Good, how are you.”
CN: Any new projects coming along?
JC: “Yea, I have a lot of new stuff.”
CN: “Anything you would like to share?”
JC: “Sure, I can share. I have my new jewelry (showed me his bracelet) and I’m endorsing a new company called Fuse Science, a sushi restaurant in Florida, a burger franchise starting soon.”
CN: ”Is it like “In and Out?”
JC: “Yes, a little bit.”
CN: ”I see you like to travel, any place interesting you’re going this summer?”
JC: “I’m planning to go to St. Tropez, and I’m always traveling between Floridaand LA.”
Jonathan is also behind a new jewelry line Rich Rocks, which is creating a buzz in Hollywood’s young and most-exclusive circles. Jonathan has established himself as a branding guru in many of the most high profile sectors.
Kim was due around the same time as Kate Middleton, the duchess of Cambridge. The Duchess reportedly will give birth at the same hospital wing where Diana, Princess of Wales, had Princes William and Harry. She is expected to have a natural birth at the private suites of the Lindo wing in St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, in July.
Unlike the Kimye’s, Kate and Prince William have chosen not to find out the gender of their first child in advance of its arrival. The birth of the future monarch who will become third in line to the throne and will make it a moment for national celebration. Instead of turning to social media such as Twitter, the notice of the birth will be placed by a footman on an easel on the Palace forecourt in public view, only after the family has been notified. The same easel that was used to announce the birth of Prince William back in 1982.
