HOLLYWOOD—I have been eagerly awaiting this reveal ever since the CBS reality-competition series made news back in summer 2017 that a celebrity version of “Big Brother” would be arriving for fans in the winter. At long last, fans now know who will be entering the BB house and fighting to be the last person standing.

Let’s just say the word ‘celebrity’ might mean different things to different people. For reasons I cannot fathom, I expected this celebrity edition of the series to have some not so big names, but was I stunned with the names revealed, not so much for the star power, but the level of drama that will erupt with such big personalities inside the house. CBS is about to deliver some drama that will have fans glued to the TV in the coming weeks, with the names entering the BB house.

Rumors were running rampant for a very longtime of potential candidates, and thankfully, none of those contestants made the list. We have “The Apprentice” and former White House staffer Omarosa, BB superfan and “American Pie” star Shannon Elizabeth, rocker and member of Sugar Ray, Mark McGrath and “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Brandi Glanville. Oh, I can already see the catfights between Omarosa and Brandi, and oh will that be delicious TV. We also have “The Cosby Show” alum Keisha Knight Pulliam, talk show host and funny guy Ross Mathews, NBA player Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace, 2015 Miss Universe runner-up Ariadna Guiterrez, Nickelodeon star James Maslow, Broadway star Marissa Janet Winokur and MMA Fighter Chuck Liddell.

Ok, there are a few names here that I’m not too familiar with, but Ross Mathews is going to be a hoot in that house, and I cannot even imagine exactly what will come out of Metta World Peace’s mouth or what antics he will indulge in inside the house. I’m already trying to see who will align, and my brain is unending with opportunities. However, I can already see Mathews and Glanville aligning, but I cannot wait to see exactly what Elizabeth, who is a fan of the show will do, and rather other contestants are aware of her knowledge about the show.

“Celebrity Big Brother” premieres on Wednesday, February 7 and will air several times a week until its finale on Sunday, February 25. The series will be hosted by “Big Brother” alum and hosts of “The Talk,” Julie Chen.
