SAN FRANCISCO—On Tuesday, September 10, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) and the Chase Center partnered up and offered free shuttle buses transporting passengers to and from the concert event center for the Dave Matthews Band concert.

The free shuttle buses took concert-goers from the 16th St. BART Station to the Chase Center free of charge on the Muni 78X 16th Street and 79X Van Ness Arena Express bus lines.

The service will be offered for all Chase Center events, where riders’ event tickets will act as their Muni fare.

The 78X bus service will run from 16th and Mission Streets, and the 79X will run from existing route 47/49 bus stops along the Van Ness Corridor about two hours before events. The shuttles will also be running 30 minutes after the event.

The Chase Center is located at the corner of 3rd and 16th Streets in Mission Bay and is the new 18,064-seat home of the Golden State Warriors. The center will hold over 200 concerts and other events annually. The first event was held on September 6 and hosted the heavy metal band Metallica, along with the San Francisco Symphony.
