Consultant Booked In Child Pornography Case

SAN FRANCISCO—Enrique Pearce, a San Francisco political consultant with ties to Mayor Edward Lee, was arrested May 7 on child pornography charges.

After gaining a warrant to search Pearce’s Civic Center apartment, law enforcement reportedly discovered the 41-year-old in possession of over 600 images of minors engaged in sexual activity.

Pearce was booked in County Jail on five charges, including possessing and distributing child pornography, receiving or buying stolen property, and possessing obscene images of minors involved in sadism or masochism.

Following the search, Pearce was booked at San Francisco County Jail on five charges, including possessing and distributing child pornography, receiving or buying stolen property, and possessing obscene images of minors involved in sadism or masochism.

A reputed $5,000-per-month consultant for Lee, Pearce ran Left Coast Communications and headed the “Run Ed Run” campaign that led to Lee’s 2011 election. Following the news of his arrest, his contract was terminated by Lee’s aids.
