SAN FRANCISCO—A fire investigation took place in San Francisco’s Taraval District on Monday, October 9. Robert Rueca, SFPD Media Relations Public Information Officer, detailed the occurrence in a Daily Recap press release on Tuesday, October 10.

At 8:30 a.m., on the 1800 block of 41st Avenue, two victims were asleep. One of them woke up to a suspect and a fire in the backyard. The victim chased the suspect off the property, but was unable to catch him. The San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) arrived on scene and put the fire out.

No arrests were made, nor were any injuries reported. However, the incident did result in property damage.

The SFPD has not released any additional information at this time.
