HOLLYWOOD—Whoever watched the Grammys, knew that it wasn’t about the music, it was about making political statements. Showing the book “Fire and Fury,” with the surprise of Hillary Clinton, did more harm than good. Perhaps that’s why the Grammys ratings hit an all time low. Regardless of the reason, somewhere the 60th annual Grammy Awards show was lost in translation.

James Corden’s second stint as the host at the awards show was seen by only 19.81 million according to published reports. That’s down from 24 percent from the final viewership of last year’s show. It has been the worst since 2009. This year’s Grammys lacked fire and fury; for a music show that is. On the upside of the awards show, Bruno Mars was the big winner, taking home Album, Record and Song of the Year, which is rare to do this as an R&B artist, more so; to win Record and Song of the Year for two separate tracks off the same album, rarer still. Hopefully, the 61st Grammys will do better.

Legendary Quincy Jones, who has produced some of the most iconic albums of all time, most notably Michael Jackson’s “Off the Wall,” “Thriller” and “Bad” says, that Taylor Swift needs to do better in her songwriting. In a GQ interview, from inside his Bel Air mansion in California, Jones spoke of everything from working with Frank Sinatra, growing up in Chicago, and his adoration for music artists.

His adoration for artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Drake, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Hudson was discussed. However, when asked about Taylor Swift-one of the best selling artist on the planet right now, Jones was less positive. Sorry Swifties, Quincy Jones is not a fan. Asked about what’s missing from her music, Jones replied: “Knowing what you’re doing. You know what I mean? Since I was a little kid, I’ve always heard the people that don’t wanna do the work. It takes work, man. The only place you find success before work is the dictionary, and that’s alphabetical.” He also mentioned a great song can make the worst singer in the world a star. A bad song can’t be saved by the three best singers in the world. I learned that 50 years ago.”

Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Noel Gallagher are among the first acts to be announced for the Biggest Weekend in May in Great Britain. The festival, which will take place in four locations around England will be taking place from May 25 to May 28. She has come a long way from the stellar performance at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. It was that performance that helped Swift get a contract with Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Records. She released her first single, “Tim McGraw,” in 2006 and the song became a Top 10 hit on the country charts.

Remember the Taylor Swift groping case? Dave Mueller, the Denver radio DJ who was accused of groping Swift at a meet-and-greet event in 2013 and lost a civil court case 4 years later, has found a new job; co-hosting a morning show at KIX-92.7, a radio station in Greenwood, Mississippi. Swift fans are not happy, they have found a new enemy; the station manager who hired him.

Larry Fuss, the CEO of station owner Delta Radio, defended the hiring to the New York Daily News, which first reported the news. According to Fuss, he sat down and spoke to Mueller before hiring him, and doesn’t believe that he’s a sexual predator. In 2017, a jury rejected Mueller’s version of events and found him guilty of assault and battery. Jurors awarded Swift a symbolic $1.

Rose’s Scoop: The question is will Omarosa Manigault Newman spill the beans about ex-boss President Donald Trump on “Celebrity Big Brother?” The source said her deal is worth $1.3 million, and includes development of a syndicated talk show with a senior executive from CBS’s “The Talk.” Good luck to the best team at the Super Bowl! Will it be the Eagles or the Patriots?
