HOLLYWOOD—Last week’s episode of Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and Have Nots” ended with Jim and Katheryn reuniting after months of bickering with each other. The penultimate episode before the season five finale, ‘For The Team’ ramped up the level of tension to prepare audiences for what is likely to be a revenge thrilled end to season five. We picked up precisely where last week left off with Jim and Katheryn giving into lust. Jim may have suspected he gained a way back into Katheryn’s heart, but she was still just as cold as ice.

David continued to entertain Erica who seems to have him wrapped around his finger, just as Anna and Wyatt continued to get closer. I called it weeks ago that those two would indeed hook up America. However, it was Wyatt’s warning to Jeffrey about Justin that forced him to see his secret lover in a new light. Justin is unbalanced people, and when you place a guy like him into a corner there is no telling what he will do.

I mean when Jeffrey called, Justin dropped EVERYTHING to immediately come to his hotel room. However, I don’t think Jeffrey heeded Wyatt’s advice and without a doubt is placing himself in very dangerous waters. I can see either David or Veronica taking a bullet that may have been intended for Jeffrey because Justin lashed out when things didn’t go his way.

The tension between Candace, Hanna and Benny reached a feverish pitch at the funeral home as Candace wanted to push her authority around, as Hanna bit her tongue. Benny did his best to reason with both his mother and sister during a difficult time. Candace pointed blame at Hanna for her son dying; it was gut-wrenching to watch mother and daughter fight in the midst of utter tragedy.

Benny gave Candace a taste of his mind; for once Benny showed some emotion and stopped defending his sister for his antics. Candace raged back calling Benny out on constantly asking her for money, and living his fairytale dreams. It was nice to see Benny call out his sister’s wicked ways. She was furious about her son not being buried in the casket that she wanted, and fought Benny and Hanna with tooth and nail.

Wow, Hanna is damn good. She realized that Candace conned Charles, who is running for president and that the secret service and Benny being in jail was all because of Candace’s antics yet again. Candace did not expect her mother to connect the dots; she was caught off guard, and she was unable to react without flinching. This is just nasty; I could never imagine a family having to endure such madness at the time of a funeral.

Hanna was on the verge of snapping, but when Candace flipped open the casket and saw her son’s body, it ripped her to shreds. Oh, I don’t think I have EVER been this eager for a season finale. Veronica, Justin and Jeffrey go toe-to-toe, Candace goes after Jim, Hanna and Candace snap and a car crash looks to be a game changer. Until next ‘Temptation Tuesday’ “HAHN” die-hards!
