SAN FRANCISCO—On August 5, a high speed chase occurred on the streets of San Francisco.

At around 1:30 a.m. a high speed chase began when a car smashed into an undercover police car. The car that the suspects was driving was reportedly stolen. Two cars had been reported as being stolen outside a condo complex on the 2000 block of Sacramento Street.

Police immediately gave chase and the car went racing through the Van Ness, Mission, and the South Market District. The car that the suspects were driving was described as being a blue Nissan Pathfinder SUV.

The chase ended on Clara Street and 3 suspects were arrested, two women and one man. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 35-year-old Lombrelle Hopkins and she was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, several counts of burglary, evading police, and conspiracy. The passengers were identified as 45-year-old Kimberley Dalton, and 41-year-old Alfred Wayne Wallace. Both Dalton and Wallace will be facing charges of burglary and conspiracy, but Wallace will be facing an additional charge of parole violation.

There were no reports of any injuries sustained during the chase.

Authorities have not revealed what led to vehicle colliding with the undercover police car, but it is believed that the suspects were fleeing. It has also not been confirmed whether or not the high speed chase and the theft of the cars outside the condo complex are related because two cars were stolen but the suspects were only driving one car.
