BEVERLY HILLS—“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kim Richards was arrested on Thursday, April 16 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel after authorities responded to a report of a possible fight at around 1:30 a.m. Hotel security reported a possible fight to police by an intoxicated female who was later identified as Richards. She was causing a disturbance at a hotel restaurant.

She was asked multiple times by hotel personnel to leave the premises. As she was leaving the property she asked to use the restroom and refused to leave. Security officials made a private persons arrest, when BHPD officers entered the restroom and took Ms. Richards into custody at 2:04 a.m.

Authorities noted that Richards was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech, and belligerent insolent behavior as she cursed at officers and passively resisted arrest. While being transported to the police station for booking, Kim kicked one of the officers in the leg, but the officer was not injured.

Richards was released from police custody at 10:36 a.m. Thursday morning. She was issued a citation charging her with Public Intoxication, Trespassing, Resisting an Officer and Battery on a Police Officer. She is expected to appear at the LAX Superior Court on June 10.  The reality star has been in an ongoing feud with her sister Kyle Richards on the hit Bravo series which recently wrapped its fifth season on the network.

Canyon News spoke to Lt. Hoshino from the BHPD about the incident. He indicated that authorities are unaware if Richards was dining alone or with others at the time of the incident. He also reported that no significant damage was done to the hotel during the incident.
