SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect involved in a Tenderloin district shooting that transpired in November 2016. According to a press release from the SFPD, the shooting occurred on November 6, 2016, where officers at 1:34 a.m. responded to the unit block of Sixth Street regarding a shooting that transpired.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 61 year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics from the SF Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. While investigating the case, officers discovered the two suspects entered a market on Sixth Street and walked throughout the establishment for several minutes. One of the suspects, without provocation, retrieved a gun and shot the victim, before both suspects fled the scene.
The culprit who shot the victim is described as an African-American male in his 20s. He was wearing a black hat, black pea-cot type jacket, black jeans and black and silver shoes. The second suspect is described as an African-American male also in his 20s. He was seen wearing a black beanie hat, black t-shirt, black faded jeans and black and white sneakers.
The San Francisco Police Department released images of the suspect on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the San Francisco Police anonymously at (415) 575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with SFPD.
