SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department arrested a suspect in connected to a homicide that transpired in the Tenderloin District on July 25.

According to a press release from the SFPD, the incident transpired at approximately 9:40 p.m., when officers responded to the 100 block of Eddy Street about a shooting where officers discovered Robert Pleasant, 42, of Oakland, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officers provided aid and summoned paramedics from the San Francisco Fire Department who responded, rendered aid, and transported Pleasant to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital where he later died from injuries sustained.

San Francisco Police Department Homicide Investigators commenced an investigation that led to the identity of Jahmal Winston, 30, of San Francisco. On Tuesday, September 12, plainclothes officers from Bayview Station located and arrested Winston. He was booked into San Francisco County Jail for murder.
