HOLLYWOOD—If comedy, animation or sequels are not apart of your movie going experience this weekend, than perhaps director Clint Eastwood’s adaption of the musical “Jersey Boys” is your cup of team. The dramusical, as I like to call it arrives in theaters on June 20.

The film will grace music fans with the story of The Four Seasons including standout star Frankie Vallie. The musical has been a Broadway smash in real life for years, so to see the picture adapted to the big screen is a treat for many. Valli is portrayed by John Lloyd Young and the musical overtones of Frank Sinatra and many other greats of that time frame are featured throughout the flick.

Audiences should head into the theatre expecting a clever mix of drama, music and crime. Yep, it has a bit of a vibe like “The Godfather,” but not the over the top level of violence that has become petulant in such films. Its R-rating is earned for its level of pouty language.

While the film doesn’t have many big-time names in it, the likes of Christopher Walken and director Clint Eastwood should be enough to draw theatre lovers to the multiplex.
