LOS ANGELES—On Wednesday, April 10, the Los Angeles Lakers won on the road against the Portland Trailblazers. The Lakers (42-37) moved a game in front of the Utah Jazz (41-38) and continue to hold to the eighth and finals spot of the Western Conference Playoffs.

Kobe Bryant had his best game of the season in a crucial game for the Lakers. Kobe had 47 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and four blocks to lead the Lakers to a rare road win. The Lakers are (16-25) away from the Staples Center this season. Pau Gasol had a near triple double with 23 points, seven rebounds and handing out nine assists.

While Howard posted 20 points to contribute to the Lakers win. The Lakers shot an outstanding 58 percent from the field against the Trailblazers who shot at 44 percent from the field. Rookie point guard Damian Lillard led the Trailblazers with 38 points and nine assists of his own trying to lock up the rookie of the year award.

No. 8 seeded Lakers look to hold on to their playoff spot as they return to the Staples Center where their final three games will be played. The Lakers will next play against The Golden State Warriors (45-33) on Friday.
