SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department arrested a suspect in connection to a burglary that transpired on the 1400 block of Folsom Street on September 21. According to a press release from the SFPD, officers from the Southern Police Station responded to a report of a burglary in progress at 5:10 a.m.

A passerby informed officers after spotting the front doors of the business were damaged. Officers searched the multi-level business and interrupted the burglar on the first floor as he attempted to carry out stolen items. A preliminary investigation identified 20 separate storage units were been broken into and numerous items were taken.

Officers arrested Lamont Jackson, 46, of San Francisco for multiple burglaries.  Following an investigation by the SFPD Burglary Unit, which was presented to the San Francisco District Attorney, Jackson, who was already on probation for burglary, was charged with 20 counts of burglary and probation violation.
