HOLLYWOOD—Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Robert Lewis Burns Jr., 64, died in a single-car crash in Georgia on Friday, April 3.

Burns reportedly swerved off the road and crashed into a mailbox and a tree. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.

He left the rock band in the 70s. He later reunited with the group for a performance at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2006.
