SAN FRANCISCO—Officers have arrested Nathaniel Lewis in connection to an armed robbery that occurred on December 4, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Authorities from the SFPD responded to an armed robbery that was taking place on the 1800 block of Polk Street, according to a press release from the SFPD website.

When police arrived on the scene, Lewis was already being detained by employees of the business. Employees informed police that the suspect barged into the place of business attempting to rob with a machine gun. They were able to subdue the suspect until police arrived.

The Northern Police Station is investigating this crime, as well as two other robberies the suspect may have committed. The first robbery occurred on November 29 at 7:40 p.m. on the 1700 block of Lombard, and the other robbery took place on November 30 at 1:30 a.m. on the 2000 block of Van Ness Avenue. Officials have not yet released a photo for the suspect as they are still investigating the other two robberies that Lewis may have partook in.
