SAN FRANCISCO—An Officer-Involved Shooting transpired on Saturday, June 9 at approximately 12:17 a.m. on the 1300 block of Grant Avenue. According to the SFPD, two uniformed SFPD officers initiated a foot pursuit of a suspect, an adult male who was struck by gunfire.

Officers provided aid and requested medical assistance, where the suspect was taken to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital where he is listed in life-threatening condition. No officers were injured during the incident. A firearm was recovered at the scene by authorities. The incident is still under investigation by officials. The SFPD Homicide Detail, The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, the San Francisco Police Internal Affairs Division, the Department of Police Accountability are conducting separate investigations.
