SAN FRANCISCO—An officer with the San Francisco Police Department is being commended for utilizing his CPR skills to rescue the life of 66 year-old man on Tuesday, August 8. According to a press release from the SFPD, just before 6 p.m., Officer Fung was working at the Pro America Steph Curry select basket showcase at Kezar Stadium. He observed a 66 year-old male in the audience who was suffering from a medical emergency.

Officer Fung responded to his aid quickly and noticed that man had lost consciousness and stopped breathing. He called the San Francisco Fire Department for medical assistance and began to perform CPR on the male in the audience until medics arrived on the scene.

Officer Fung was relieved after medics arrived on the scene, who continued to provide medical assistance to the victim. He was transported to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition, due to Officer Fung’s quick response and life-saving efforts.

“The SFPD is proud of Officer Fung and thanks him for taking immediate action during a medical emergency,” the SFPD stated.
