HOLLYWOOD—Everyone will be tuning in to watch the 91st Academy Awards ceremony on February 24, at 8 p.m. on ABC. Voting is now closed for members of the Academy. I will not look into my crystal ball for the winners, but something tells me that the golden man for Best Original Song will probably go to Lady Gaga for “Shallow,” from the film “A Star Is Born.”

She will be performing “Shallow” with Bradley Cooper, which has taken the world by storm since its release. Gaga, 32, has recently split from her fiancé Christian Carino. She sparked speculation that the wedding was off, when she appeared at the Grammy Awards February 10 without her engagement ring. He didn’t accompany the star to the ceremony, however, he was by her side for the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Golden Globes. They didn’t share Valentine’s Day, which was another major hint that their relationship was over.

Gaga will have plenty of parties to attend, if she desires, the Pre-Oscars parties began on February 19. Let’s look at some of the parties that are being held; The Global Green’s Pre-Oscar Gala, hosted by Diane Meyer Simon will be held at the Four Seasons. The 2019 Beauty Innovators Dinner is also held on February 20. Chu and Greg Berlanti at the Beverly Hilton at 11 a.m. Vanity Fair and Genesis “Bohemian Rhapsody” Party will have a celebration of the Freddie Mercury and Queen Biopic at Cecconi’s. On February 23, the IFC Films Spirit Awards After Party will be held at 41 Ocean Club, in Santa Monica at 4 p.m. The Sony Picture Classics Dinner with co-presidents Michael Barker and Tom Bernard celebrate their nominees at STK LA, at 7:30 p.m. The Charles Finch and Chanel’s Pre-Oscar Dinner will move to the Polo Lounge, after a decade at Madeo’s. Tequila Don Julio cocktails and flowers by Mark’s Garden. Ray Dolby Ballroom, immediately following the Oscar ceremony. A must for winners, the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, and those lucky enough to get invited at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.

Madonna’s Oscar Party, it’s the 12th anniversary for the queen of pop, no press allowed, usually held at Guy Oseary’s house. Jay-Z’s Gold Party, the music mogul after-party is back after making its debut last year. Menu by Daniel Humm of Eleven Madison Park and Jay-Z’s own Champagne Armand de Brignac is the evening’s official bubbly at the Chateau Marmont.

Rose’s Scoop: Wishing all the nominees at the 91st Academy Awards, the best of luck. Remember to keep politics out of the acceptance speech and say something from the heart.
