SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department arrested a suspect in connection to the fatal stabbing of Keith Harris, 48, of San Francisco on November 2. The SFPD indicated that that incident transpired at 2:06 p.m., after officers were dispatched for a well-being check of a resident on the 300 block of Hates Street in the Northern District.

Upon arrival, the officers found Harris, on the floor of an apartment suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics from the San Francisco Fire Department rendered aid, but Harris succumbed to injuries he sustained  at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFGH).

San Francisco Police Homicide investigators discovered the identity of the suspect, Othman Al-Muttalaby, 26, of San Francisco. On November 7 at approximately 3:30 p.m., San Francisco Sheriff’s deputies working at ZSFGH located and arrested Al-Muttalaby while he was being treated for an injury. The SFPD Homicide Detail was alerted of the arrest. After being interviewed by SFPD Homicide investigators, Al-Muttalaby was booked in absentia on the charge of homicide.
