HOLLYWOOD—It appears a vast majority of the mystery surrounding the town of Rosewood involves Radley Sanitarium. It’s been quite some time since we’ve been treated to an inside look inside Radley, but that all changed with episode seven “The Silence of E. Lamb.” Instead of Spencer (Troian Bellisario) taking a stroll into the nut house, it was Aria (Lucy Hale) who attempted to gather more information about the mysterious Eddie Lamb. The episode opened with Mrs. Fields (Nia Peeples) back in the mix, surprised by Ali’s return she asked her daughter to invite Alison and the other liars to dinner.

The ladies were a bit surprised about the invite, which prompted Aria and Spencer to make excuses on why they couldn’t make it to dinner. Ali started to panic about the bruises on her scarf, and was stunned to discover Sydney(Chloe Bridges) spying from inside the bathroom stall. That chick is definitely up to something, as she informed Emily in so many words that she is aware that Paige (Lindsey Shaw) leaked details about Mona’s (Janel Parrish) army. Emily called Mona’s bluff indicating that she is well aware of her intentions.

Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) shared small talk about his predicament. He wasn’t pleased with how dependent the ladies are on Ali, and he did his best to rekindle some sort of small talk about their relationship. Ali finally had a confrontation with Caleb, where he expressed his feelings about the Queen Bee who has turned Hanna’s life upside down. Hanna confronted Caleb about his interaction with her BFF and his downward spiral which seems to have an impact on our fiercest liar.

Spencer was surprised to discover Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) back in town; she revealed details about her father staying at her apartment. Spencer and Ezra (Ian Harding) put their minds together to discover what Eddie Lamb knows about Bethany Young and Mrs. DiLaurentis. She asked her teacher to borrow one of his cameras to keep details on someone. Emily spied on Mona watching Toby’s ruined home; which caused a cat-fight. Would Mona really blow-up someone’s house to send a message to Ali. Who knows, but Mona better watch her back.

Ezra dished a bit of truth about his family; the book he hoped to write, instead of the crime novel that never got published. Whoa, he’s revealing a side of himself that he barely shows to any of the liars including Aria. Spence let Ezra know that the camera is for Melissa whom she believes is involved in the entire chaos.

Aria met crazed Rhonda inside Radley who claimed that the picture Bethany drew was for her. Just exactly what does Rhonda know about Bethany that the audience doesn’t? Hanna appears to be developing a drinking problem, and did her best to bail out of the dinner party, but Emily convinced her bestie to tag along. Back in Radley, Aria spied inside Rhonda’s room to see what other things were being concealed. Underneath the bed, she discovered the name Bethany. It appears Rhonda has a bit of an obsession with Bethany.

The divide between Hanna and Alison is continuing to grow, as Ali asked her pal to cut Caleb loose to protect all parties involved. Yep, Hanna does indeed have a drinking problem. Eddie made a phone call to Ezra alerting him what Aria may have been up to. The dinner party took a turn for the worse, as Hanna pushed Ali’s buttons, which prompted the Queen Bee to fabricate another story about her predicament. Spencer and Aria did more digging into what Rhonda knew about Bethany and her drawing book. The ladies discovered a picture of a woman falling from Radley, which was a clue related to the death of Toby’s mother. Its apparent Bethany knew what really happened to Toby’s mother, and that “A” may have wanted to shut her up.

Hanna was none too pleased to come face-to-face with Sydney who did her best to try to do some digging into Hanna’s dinner party from hell. Spencer and Melissa sparred about the situation involving their parents. Spence started to point fingers at Melissa about the lies and the bodies that have ripped Rosewood apart.  Finally a breakthrough!? Melissa was about to open up, but remained coy about the truth, indicating that anything that is done is for the power of love. So just precisely who is Melissa covering for: Spencer, her mom, her dad or someone else?

Sydney probed Hanna a bit who revealed a few details about Jenna, Shana and New York. What the hell is this newcomer to Rosewood up to? She might be in for a whirlwind, especially if she digs into “A’s” past. Emily’s mom revealed that Ali’s story about being kidnapped has some flaws and authorities are looking into things. Caleb spotted a dazed Hanna, where she revealed she still has feelings for her former flame and they shared a passionate kiss.

Spencer spied Ali arriving at her backyard, to discover what Alison is hiding. Was she planning to meet Melissa?  An interesting development transpired when Ezra admitted he waited an hour for Eddie Lamb to meet him, but he never showed up. I have an inkling he was going to meet Ali, but for what is the bigger mystery.

The ladies received a text from “A” which indicated that it was Sydney who sent the text. How do we know, she was at the coffee house with Hanna. Sydney better be very careful, because “A” will not like someone taking the game from them. The final moments were the most revealing as “A” opened a piece of mail addressed to Pam Fields. It was an invitation to an engagement party for Ella and Zach, which means “A” has access inside Emily’s home. Scary right!?  Until next week “PLL” fanatics!
