HOLLYWOOD—I must admit that I was underwhelmed by the most recent episode of “Pretty Little Liars,” ‘Thrown From the Ride.’ It was more of a tale about how the liars are still fighting the mind control that Alison (Sasha Pieterse) has over them. The Queen Bee is hell bent on returning to school, but her father Mr. D, as well as the rest of the liars aren’t so sure it’s a good idea.

I must say I agree with them fully. Mona (Janel Parrish) is determined to make Ali’s life a living hell, and she’s using her army of minions, Paige (Lindsey Shaw) and Lucas (Brendon Robinson) to help with her mission.  Mona is indeed the embodiment of true evil, as she poked at Aria (Lucy Hale) and Hanna’s (Ashley Benson) buttons by insinuating that she knows about Shana (Ariel Miranda). But does Mona really know and if so how? Is she perhaps working with uber “A” to take down the liars?

Aria is still reeling with taking the life of someone, and has become a bit obsessed with Shana, to the point that she repeatedly watched her funeral online. I must say it’s just a matter of time before Aria cracks; the pressure is getting to her. Spencer (Troian Bellisario) was aware that her parents and Melissa are keeping something big from her. When she attempted to question her mom about the secret her dad and Melissa is keeping she was shut down, but not before revealing that the night Ali disappeared, Mrs. D came to the house and suspected that Spencer had something to do with it.

Interesting theory, Mrs. D knew Spencer didn’t have any hand in Ali’s disappearance because she saw who attacked her daughter and covered it up. Which means someone in the Hastings clan is keeping a whopper of a secret. This led Spencer to do her own digging, by recruiting Andrew to help with returning her backyard to normal. She discovered a dead rodent and some rat poisoning. Hmm, could Mrs. D have been poised, it sure looks like it and the finger is pointed firmly at Mr. Hastings.

I can’t help but notice, he sure drinks quite a bit, but is that scotch he’s consuming. If so he is a guilty party as perhaps being big “A.” Considering the writers are making it so obvious, I beg to differ. Hanna decided to go with Alison as she took her medical examine and an interesting development took place as a scar on Alison’s thigh came to fruition. The clever lady manifested a wicked lie to get out of the questioning, which prompted Hanna to inquire just what transpired. I must say this was the most interesting development of the episode and I want to know more.

Emily (Shay Mitchell) looked to be getting closer to Paige, butSydney (Chloe Bridges) was in the middle of their reunion. I have a feelingSydney will find herself attached to either Emily or Paige before the season ends. Ali was literally left in the dark by Emily, Spencer and Aria who have been avoiding contact with their bestie. Emily when confronted by Ali about memorizing the recording, gave her friend know and ultimatum about her growing web of lies.

Aria continued to bond with Ezra (Ian Harding), as she discussed her situation involving Shana. It became apparent Mona is losing it a bit, as she appears more worried about Alison returning to Rosewood High than everyone else. Final moments of the episode left Spencer reeling, as she is almost certain her father may have killed Ali’s mom, but that is nothing compared to the statement that Ali told Hanna, about knowing something that you can’t unlearn it. Just what did Ali mean by that?

The episode closed with Ali reviewing information about her online, some happy, most of the information not so happy for the reformed Queen Bee.  Can’t wait till next week as the 100th episode of the series “Miss Me X 100” takes place. It has been teased that a major revelation will be revealed to fans. Any guesses as to what that will be? Until next Tuesday “PLL” fanatics!
