SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to solve the 2007 murder of Alberto Casillas.  Casillas was fatally shot on January 7, 2007, at approximately 2:17 a.m. while driving his silver GMC Yukon SUV in the area of 13th Street and Folsom.  The victim was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

According to a press release from the SFPD, Casillas had encountered the suspects earlier in the evening at Club Caliente where they brandished a firearm. San Francisco Police Homicide Inspector Michael Morley and the mother of Alberto Casillas were available at the corner of13th   Street and Folsom at 2:00 p.m. to address questions from the media on Tuesday, January 7, 2014.
