SAN FRANCISCO—On March 12, officers from the San Francisco Police Department responded to a retail establishment on the 1300 block of Divisadero Street involving a theft of a dog that took place the day before.

The victim was in the store with his dog picking up some items, when the individual was unable to locate his dog. According to a press release from the SFPD, the victim asked the store manager for assistance who found video footage of the suspect taking the dog and leaving the establishment. The video was given to the SFPD.

The victim’s 5-year-old male 1/2 Chihuahua, 1/2 poodle dog named ‘Catfish” was taken by the suspect.

Authorities are describing the suspect as an adult male, last seen wearing a red shirt and camouflage type pants.
