SAN FRANCISCO—On Tuesday, May 19 at 8:15 p.m., police were called to the 200-block of Schwerin Street in Visitacion Valley on a domestic violence dispute. The standoff lasted throughout the night, with the suspect refusing to cooperate with authorities and leave his apartment.

There was a verbal rally towards the police from the man’s balcony before he receded into his home where he remained.

The man is believed to be alone and details about him being armed remain unknown at this time. The victim in the domestic dispute was uninjured and is in police custody.

The surrounding block in the Sunnydale neighborhood will remain closed until police negotiators can remove the suspect from his home.
