SAN FRANCISCO—President Barack Obama will be in San Francisco on Saturday, October 10, to speak at the Democratic National Committee fundraising concert at the San Francisco Warfield Theater on Market Street. Tickets for the event went on sale September 29.

The fundraiser will feature Kanye West as the headliner to raise money for the Democratic Hope Fund, a committee led by the Democratic National Committee and Obama for America. West is anticipated to be performing tracks from his latest album “Swish,” which include his hit single “All Day.” West will also be performing his classics, “Gold Digger,” and “ Jesus Walks.” West has been a public supporter of Obama.

The Warfield Theater seats 2,300 attendees, tickets for the concert start at $100 for students, $250 for general admission, and VIP seats will start at $1,000 for premium seating. Tickets are priced as high as $10,000.

According to the National Democratic Committee, a VIP $5,000 admission ticket includes a picture with the president, and a $10,000 ticket includes a reception with President Obama. All attendees who purchase tickets to the concert will be contributing to the non-tax deductible Democratic Hope Fund.

The Democratic National Committee stated in the invitation of the event, “Our Party, led by President Obama, is focused on building an economy that lasts — an economy that lifts up all Americans. That’s why Democrats in all 50 states are working in neighborhoods and communities to advance issues like job creation, education, health care, and clean energy.”

A specific time has not been set for the concert yet, but according to the ticket’s purchase page, the event is said to be taking place during the daytime.
